The Benefits of Lemon Water

I’ve been really focusing on bettering my health over the last few months; making smarter and healthier choices with what I choose to eat and drink. I can definitely say that adding lemon water to my daily routine has been extremely beneficial. I’ve heard many people say that a cup of hot water and lemon every morning is great for your health so I decided to put it to the test…it actually works!

I used to wake up extremely bloated every morning and now that I consistently take simple steps like this to cleanse my body, I feel so much better. What a relief! I feel way more energized nowadays and one cup of hot water and lemon really makes me feel like I start each day on the right foot. I’m not a diet girl or a 24/7 gym girl and I really don’t like to deprive myself of any food item because I’m a HUGE foodie. I take care of my body and my health because it’s the right thing to do and luckily, I’ve gotten into my own fitness and healthy lifestyle groove which I’ll be sharing with you in a later post. All this to say, there are simple things you can start doing to better your health and this is one of them!

I start the day with a cup of hot water and lemon before I eat or drink anything else.

I always carry a water-filled mason jar or my Starbucks Cold Cup when I’m on the go, add in a few lemon slices and sip away throughout the day.

#SimpleTip: If you don’t have access to hot/warm water during the day, room temperature water is best when infusing it with lemon slices as it provides the most health benefits.
